RT 325 — PFT Clinical I (1 cr)
This course is the first clinical course in a series of two emphasizing the performance of pulmonary function testing in the acute care facility and the private practice physician's office setting. In a supervised setting a student will perform spirometry, spirometry with a bronchodilator, flow/volume loop, nitrogen washout or helium dilution, diffusion (DLCO), body plethysmography, and an arterial blood gas draw.
